The In-Town recreation program is open to Springfield residents, girls and boys, in Kindergarten though 2nd grades. The program currently has over 135 players and continues to grow at a steady rate.  This program teaches the fundamentals of soccer in a non-competitive and fun way. The program runs in both the Fall and Spring seasons. 

The Intercounty Youth Soccer League (ICYSL or Intercounty Soccer) program is a cooperative recreational soccer program based in central New Jersey whose primary goal is to foster competitive soccer while encouraging participation by as many children as possible. The overall objective of Intercounty Soccer is maximum participation with even competition at all age levels. Springfield usually fields both boys and girls teams in the Under 10 through Under 16 divisions and runs in both the Fall and Spring seasons. 

The Travel Program is open to girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 16.  The goal of the traveling program is to allow players to have fun playing soccer and grow their soccer skill set in a competitive playing environment. The intent of practice and play will be to improve skills and participate in a structured competitive league (MCYSA).  The Travel teams compete in the Morris County Youth Soccer League.  All teams are flighted according to previous records and compete against teams with similar skill levels.  The traveling teams will be trained by the club’s PDO.  (Red Bulls Player Development Officer) The Travel program runs in both the Fall and Spring seasons.  This program is terrific for kids looking for that competive edge and certainly a stepping stone towards preparing kids for future growth and enhanced skill within the sport.

Soccer Club of Springfield General Membership Meetings:

Springfield soccer general membership meetings are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month at 8:30 p.m. The location is the Springfield YMCA /Chisholm Rec Center, located on South Springfield Ave.

 Please check our events calendar for the current dates and times. Anyone involved with the Springfield Soccer Club (parents, coaches, referees, longstanding members, etc.),  are welcome to attend.
